Lying in the Southeast of Fethiye Körfezi, Fethiye is a settlement which has developed touristieally in the last years. Fethiye is just 50 km from Dalaman Airport. it has quite a beautiful maıina for yachts to moor. Sometimes lıundreds of yachts stay there for days. Fethiye can easily be reached from land too.
Fethiye is a place where both natura! and historical beauty can be found. That's why it is quite rich in tourist facilities. it is also a suitable place for yacht tourism. you can anchor in Fethiye and visit the numerous ancient cities and remains around. Cadianda,
Pınara, Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon and Patara are some of the ancient cities worth visiting nearby.
Yachts starting Blue Voyages, meet most of their requirements in Fethiye. You can easily find food, drink, water and fuel at the marina.
As Fethiye Limanı is well-lit by lighthouses, entrance to the bay is always possible. Yachts approach the yacht quay, in the West of the ship quay. Letonia Marina or the quays of the hotels in the Southv/est can also be used for mooring. Anchoring is possible in 10-12 m. The bottom is mud and weed, so not everywhere provides good holding.




Anchoring is also possible in Paçarız Bükü and Batıkkaya Bükü. in these places, it is possible to anchor in 5-10 m. These places are quite attractive since there are not many buildings.
As soon as you enter Fethiye Limanı, there are some Lycian rock tombs and a castle in the cliffs behind the city. The ancient city of Telmessos is known as the main port of Lycia. These Lycian rock tombs in the city center ha ve become the symbol of Fethiye.
With its vicinity, especially Telmessos, Fethiye is one of the most beautiful resort in Turkey, vvhere there is a perfect combination of history and nature. it was known as "Telmessos" in the ancient period. Telmessos, where the first settlements date back to the 5th century BC, till the Lycians has witnessed various civilizations över time.
Modern Fethiye is situated on and next to the ancient city. The tomb area, theatre, castle, and city walls, stili standing today, are signs of the rich architectural heritage of the past. The monumental tomb of King Amyntas, carved into a rock in the tomb area, is eye catching. The structure, the temple side of which has two columns, dates back to the 4th century BC. Other than this, there are numerous rock tombs inside and outside the city. On the acropolis, the are remains of a castle, which is thought to have been the Knights of Saint John. The newly excavated theatre, museum, castle, walls and the coast are other places to be visited.
Ilaving had suffered two serious earthquakes in 1856 and 1957, Fethiye, as it can be seen today, was reconstructed in 1957. These earthquakes and the fact that modern Fethiye is situated on the site of the ancient city, has resulted in a loss in the number of historical vvorks.
Çalış and Karagözler beaches are the most famous ones around Fethiye. Çalış beach lies off the gulf, along the road. As it is exposed to wind, it is a suitable place for lovers of windsurfing.
You can also walk up to Oyuk Tepe. it is delightful to view the landscape from this point. As the surrounding area is full of pine
trees, you can smell their fresh scent in the air.
...The best-knoıvn harbor in these parts hoıvever is Mağrı Limanı. 'Ihis is a broad, natura! harbor in ıvbich one may lie againsl any ıvind. in the mouth is an islet tbat one may pass on eitber side ibough big ships should enter on the southern side of it...
