Orak Adasi

Orak Adasi is 7 nautical miles from Bodaim. Since it is quite close to Bodrum, yachts visit this place very often. It takes about 2 hours to reach from Bodrum by yacht. That's
why, especially during the day, many yachts can be seen here. At noon, this bay becomes so crowded that it looks like a festival place, In the evening, the yachts .sail back to

Bodrum. Just a few of them stay there to spend the night in silence.
The vicinity of Orak Adasi is rocky, and it is covered with bushes. Thai's why, it is difficult to land and lake a walk on the island. Rats have been .seen on the island in recent years. However, despite the.se negative features, the sea is beautiful. Il i.s emerald green by the shore and becomes dark blue as it gets deeper. Children can swim very safely by the .shore because the water is so shallow there.
There are two coves where yachts can take shelter on Orak Adasi:
The Eastern Cove: This is the place where daily touring yachts generally anchor. Be careful to avoid the roek.s between the cove and the island while entering this cove. The bottom is sand, and there are pebble stones. It is possible to anchor in 4-10 m in tiii.s cove. When a yacht takes a line ashore, care should be taken of the rats on the island,
The Northern Cove: This cove can easily be entered. On the .southern end of the bay, there is a beach covered with pebble stones. The bottom is weed. Anchoring is possible in 3-8 m.
