When approaching the- harbour, a large hotel can easily be seen in Ta§biiku Koyu from the distance. However, it is very difficult to distinguish the islands from the mainland. At night, it is easy to see the lighthouse located in Orta Ada (FL.10s9M.) but night approaches are not recommended. Care should be taken of the shallow patch, 400 m from the West of Sedir Adasi (This rocky part is marked with a signal tower).
Anchoring is possible either between Scdir Adasi and Orta Ada or in the old harbour between Sedir Adasi and the land. Care .should be taken when approaching these shallow patches, which can easily be recognized. As the bottom is sand and grass, it is a good holding. Tasbiikii may be another alternative to anchor. However, it i,s not a good shelter from the wind.
Sedir Adasi is quire small but very interesting. Many people come to visit this island everyday, either by land or by sea. There is a road from Marmara to Gelibolu. Visitors come to Gelibolu by road and go to visit Sedir Ada.si by sea.
With their splendid beauty, these islands are very crowded, especially in summer. Used
by daily visitors quite a lot, Kleopatra Koyu is famous for its spectacular beach.
In ancient times, this island was called Sedrai/Cedrai, and it is thought that it took its name from its cedar trees. There are ruins of the ancient city on the island. In the East, there is a theater, temple, agora, walls, cistern, harbour, and necropolis. Tnside the island there are underground vaults and a small city. Today there are olive trees inside the ancient theater.
The island became famous due to its beach, "Kleopatra Kumsah" rather than its cultural richness. The sand on the beach is very fine, and ivory in colour. It is an inorganic material, formed by biological and chemical movements of nature. This is very rare sand.

found in only a few places in the world, so it should be protected. There are two stories about the formation of this sand. The first is that this is the natural form of the sand. The second one is that Cleopatra, when she came here with Antonius, had this sand brought here from iskenderiye for her comfort. The names of Cleopatra and Antonius can be seen on a marble script close to the ancient theater.
Another characteristic of the island is that when seen from the air the land is in the shape of a heart. There are also some heart-shaped marble stones on the island.he island
...Five miles southwest of Gok-Ova there is a small island that they call Geliholucuk. This place is a safe haven but ships as large as galleys cannot enter and they He instead
between the island and the Anatolian shore...
... This small island is called Oren. This island is covered with buildings crammed together like pomegranate seeds. They say that in former times this place mas a city; all its houses are still standing. Before it is a natural harbor that large ships may enter...
