Bozukkale Koyu

Bozukkale Koyu
36°34'N, 28'01'E
This bay lies about 2 nautical miles East of Karaburun Feneri. It has a unique beauty, attracting almost eveiy boat around. Besides its natural beauty, the remains of Loryma ancient city, about which we do not know much, are also attractive. Just as entering the bay, the walls of Loryma Castle, almost in perfect condition, can be seen.
There are .several anchorages inside the bay. However, care is needed of the reefs at the entrance, in front of the Eastern and Western capes. In the small coves, anchoring is possible in 5-10 m, with a line ashore because the sand and weed bottom may not always provide good holding. It offers a good shelter from meltem winds.
